Jubilate IV (Introite in conspectu ejus, in exaltatione..)


Ohmigod I can't belive that yesterday was my last concert with Sn choir, or rather as a member of the Sn choir. The Sec Fours will be stepping down in a few weeks time and I'm going to miss choir terribly. Terribly terribly terribly. And wait till the day we really step down, it'll be terribly terribly terribly terribly and more terribl-ies. Rah.

Anyway, choir kind of screwed up yesterday. Miss Lim was super uber disappointed, she flared before our performance cause the sound was really bad and we kept going out of tune. Well we weren't scolded after the performance though (even though it was as bad), cause she was so pissed that she left. Okay I assume that she was piss. Well she should be, i guess. Her facial experssion gradually turned from bad to worse during the actual performance. Subtle transition, yet extremely deadly. I guess all of us were affected, in one way or another. Oh and seriously, screw the school lah. Whats with all the last minute shit ? And the super lousy accoustic ? Anddddd the lack of facilities. WE HAVE TO BRING OUR OWN PIANO. Rocks, they don't even want to provide us with a piano. How nice.

Oh and some of the green badges were disappointing. Attitude wise, I mean.

Alright I have finished emoting. Hee actually, I'm half-finished. Just that some information are not safe/right/appropriate to be disclosed here. Yupp, okay moving on to nicer stuff that happened yesterday !

Lessons were bo0ringX. Slept through Maths lesson and SamanthaKwantheToad went to colour my left (I think) earlope with her poisonous amethyst marker. Rah. It's like an assasination. Just that I didn't die haha. But I do that to her often too so, I guess it's alright hee. After recess, was mainly singing. We had some 'choral exchange' thing between the different levels and it was fun ! Green badges sang 'The Prayer' (smirks at Loulou) and I thought the song was really nice. I mean I strongly recommend that they sing it for Open house. It'll be enthralling. After that, the choir (minusing the Secones) sang Suri Ram, Ciga, Everyone and Adora. Later on, the red hot badges sang Sister Act (with slipshod actions, haha we learnt it when we were in Secone okay !) and Cai Muo Gu HAHAHAH. Reliving Sec one days was fun :] Yupp so after lunch, everyone got down to dressing up and putting on make up. I love making up for others ! And I've mastered the art of putting the ever-so-cool eyeshadow ! Playing around with the different shades of colours, smearing shimmering powder all over people's eyebrows, eyelids and faces; at the same time making them look so drop dead gorgeous is truly fun and enjoying ! I should change my aspiration from a surgeon to a co0liox make-up artist and I might just have a brighter future. Hah, okay kidding :) So after everything was close-to-perfect, we headed to UCC.

Which was so damnit huge. Gosh it's like a mini esplanade or something. Anyway yeah shall skip the disgusting details. Didn't get to see all the CCA perform as choir was the second last item and we arrived like rather late. Only got to see dance and a glimpse of the other dance. Heh. Anyway dance was really good. They were spinning like nobody's business. It's like they totally owned the stage. Blown away man. The dry run was ridiculous and rubbishy so I shall not mention that one as well. Lunch was yucky too so skip skip skip. Hmmm yup okay, despite all the unfortunate events, I still enjoyed myself. Cause man created an extremely useful object called the CAMERA ! Cam whored and cam whored and cam whored. Which was actually a great therapy cause you actually turn your focus off all the sad things which happened. And every single click of the shutter takes away a small bit of the pain, nervousness and anxiety. Happy happy happy. So finally the time came and we were on the stage, singing our hearts out. Well although we didn't perform up to expectation, and many people were disappointed, I'm still happy that we actually pulled it through. The performance I mean. Although we weren't as good, but the feeling was still the same. The feeling of performing infront of a massive audience and yet all I could see was only the conductor, the one guiding and cradling us through the songs. The feeling of being just among the choir and together in one voice, reaching for a common goal. The feeling of creating music on stage. Basically, the feeling of just singing and being a part of CHIJ St. Nicolas Girls' School Secondary Gwh Choir. Well, I belive we still shone, like ever so brightly :)

Thank you p6grace for uploading the vids. The first song was 'I Feel Pretty' but there isn't a video of it. Yup. Sakura was sharp sharp, acutely sharp. Alrighty shall not brood over it anymore :)

Flowers ! A huge THANK YOU to you guys out there for the pretty pretty flowers (hugs, chocolates and notes too !) :) They are really lovely. I've put them into respective vases (hopefully it'll last more than a week) haha. And the special one on the right is from Becks ! Don't you think it's damn pretty ? It's like literally blooming ! Haha. More pictures will be up soon. Cause Lingjingthepro had conviniently forgot about her camera yesterday. So, she needs to kope the pictures from others :] Teehee yupp.

Alright, i guess this is all i've got to say about Jubilate VI :)
